Job Description

【Summary】
This position is responsible for generating sales and revenue from new and existing customers in the industrial and construction sectors, while collaborating with Project Managers and Project Specialists to support project estimation, planning, preparation, and execution.
As a bilingual professional, the candidate will coordinate with Japanese-speaking clients, owners, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while promoting business growth.

【Essential Duties】

Customer Relations & Sales

• Contact and visit existing and potential clients to develop new business opportunities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded

Preconstruction Services

• Review drawings and specifications

• Estimate project costs and man-hours considering labor, materials, and equipment

• Participate in preconstruction planning, including budget and schedule considerations

Project Start-Up & Scheduling

• Understand project specifications and contract requirements

• Manage scheduling of materials and subcontract work, ensuring compliance with quality standards

• Verify testing of materials and record results

• Conduct site inspections to maintain work quality

Project Administration, Operations & Close-Out

• Coordinate with subcontractors and all relevant parties regarding schedule, construction methods, safety, quality, and company policies

• Participate in daily and weekly project progress meetings

• Ensure proper project close-out, including financial settlement, resource demobilization, and handover to the client

• Up to 50% travel within the U.S. may be required

• $90,000 - 100,000  per year​​​​​

【Qualifications】

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Construction Management

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or construction projects

• Knowledge of construction contract language and terms

• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to estimate project costs and execute projects within budget and schedule

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under tight deadlines

• Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., OSHA)

• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

• Ability to prepare and review reports, daily logs, and project updates

• Fluent in both English and Japanese
