Job Description

【Position】
Sales Representative

【Summary】
This position is responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals.

【Essential Duties】
• Communicates with existing customers and potential customers by visiting them and making outbound calls, web meeting and emails.
• Generates potential leads and follows up on leads.
• Creates and maintains a database of current and potential customers and submits the reports monthly.
• Understands customers' needs and identifies sales opportunities.
• Keeps up with product and service information and updates.
• Negotiates on contract’s terms and conditions and price with customers and venders.
• Answers potential customers' questions and sends additional information.
• Explains features of products and services.
• Manages and mails out samples requested by customers.
• Creates, plans and delivers presentations on company products for customers.
• Plans, prepares and sets up a display booth at trade shows and other events in the U.S. and overseas.
• Accompanies venders from overseas when they visit the U.S. (and Americas)
• Visits venders overseas such as Japan, Korea and China project updates.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in industry events.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, etc.

9:00-17:00

Westbury, NY
commute to office 5 days/week

【Salary, Benefit】
$70,000-110,000/year

【Qualifications】
- Professional experience at a trading company or manufacturer in the chemical industry
- Sales experience in cosmetic raw materials is highly preferred
- Bilingual in Japanese and English, with business-level proficiency or higher in both languages (required)
- Comfortable with domestic and international travel, including flying and driving
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
