Job Description

【Summary】
The Project Superintendent / Field Engineer will assist in managing and delegating field activities associated with assigned projects. The ideal candidate will lead the project team to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role requires close coordination with the owner, suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, and other related parties to achieve successful project completion with high quality standards.

【Essential Functions】

Preconstruction Services

・Participate in reviewing drawings and specifications.

・Estimate project costs and manhours required to complete tasks and meet customer expectations within budget and schedule.

・Contribute to preconstruction planning related to budget, schedule, and execution strategy.

Project Start-up and Scheduling

。Understand project specifications and contract general conditions, ensuring that all materials and subcontracted work are accurately scheduled and comply with contract documents and quality standards.

・Ensure that materials are properly tested per specifications and that all test results are accurately recorded.

・Attend site visits and inspections of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality of work.

Project Administration, Operations, and Close-Out

・Coordinate and monitor the progress of subcontractors and other parties within assigned areas of expertise.

・Communicate clearly with MPCI management, subcontractors, and related parties regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies, procedures, permits, safety, quality control, and performance expectations.

・Attend daily or weekly project progress meetings with subcontractors to review upcoming work and confirm progress.

・Oversee project closeout activities to ensure all financial obligations are met, resources are demobilized, and the project is properly transitioned to the customer.

Promote Customer Relations

・Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect company core values and exceed customer expectations.

Up to 50% travel to other project sites or company locations is required.

【Qualifications】

・Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Construction Management preferred.

・3–5 years of experience in the industrial or construction field.

・Working knowledge of construction contract terms and conditions.

・Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.

・Ability to estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, preferred.

・Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.

・Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and manage multiple activities effectively.

・Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

・Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

・Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general PC communication tools.

・Ability to prepare or review daily logs, monthly reports, and project progress documentation.

・Experience working in a multinational environment preferred.

【Working Environment】
Due to changing conditions on construction sites, employees working outside the office, trailer, or building must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety policies and weather conditions.
Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by project schedules to meet customer deadlines.
Travel to other project locations will be required.
