Position: Moving Department Manager (Japanese-English Bilingual)

Summary

The Moving Department Manager oversees daily operations of the moving team serving Japanese expatriate families and business clients.
This position manages workflow, schedules, and staff while ensuring top-quality customer service and operational efficiency.
Strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and bilingual communication skills are key to success in this role.

Essential Duties

  • Supervise daily moving operations, including scheduling, staff coordination, and quality control.

  • Manage client communications in English and Japanese (corporate relocations, individual expatriate moves, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal service standards.

  • Oversee documentation, invoicing, and reporting related to moves.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance.

  • Monitor operational costs and implement process improvements.

  • Collaborate with management to plan staffing and workflow during peak seasons.

Working Hours / Working Style

  • Full-time, on-site management position.

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional overtime or weekends during peak periods).

Working Location

Greater Houston Area, TX (relocation within Texas possible)

Salary / Benefit

  • Annual Salary: Approximately $50,000–$60,000, depending on experience and skill set.
