Position
Branch Supervisor

Summary
A Japanese logistics company specializing in international air and ocean freight forwarding is seeking a Outside Sales for its Los Angeles office. This position will oversee branch-level operations, manage a small local team, and ensure high-quality service delivery to key clients in the automotive and manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics professional with hands-on operational knowledge and the ability to lead and support a small but dynamic team.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and manage 2–3 branch staff members in daily logistics operations

• Oversee import/export shipments via air and ocean freight, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery

• Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal departments for shipment arrangements and problem resolution

• Monitor branch performance and report results to upper management

• Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Customs and TSA regulations

• Support client relationship management and assist with business development activities

• Train, evaluate, and mentor staff to maintain high operational standards

• Collaborate with other U.S. branches and Japan headquarters to align operational goals

Working Hours, Working Style

• Full-time, exempt position

• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday

• On-site work (no remote/hybrid option)

• Occasional business travel may be required

Salary / Benefit

• Annual salary: $60,000–$65,000 (depending on experience)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export operations

• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Japanese language skills a plus, but not required

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
