Position
Seafood Department Lead/Assistant lead （Non-Exempt）

Summary
The Seafood Department Lead/Assistant Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Seafood department to ensure product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role supports the store management team in achieving sales, inventory, and labor goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and food safety standards. The Lead/Assistant Lead will schedule and train team members, monitor performance, and promote a clean, organized, and customer-focused work environment. Acting as both a leader and mentor, this position ensures smooth department operations, effective merchandising, and collaboration with other departments to achieve overall store success.

Essential Duties
​​​​​​​・Ensuring the store is neat, clean, and presentable is all employees’ responsibility in our
company.
・Provide proper customer service as company’s expectation.
・ALL store employees CANNOT confront, detain, or harass any customers you suspect of
shoplifting.
・According to store operation goal and actual situation, design department schedule, target, and
plans, and assistant store management team to achieve store success.
・Monitor and improve department performance including product, sales, inventory, damage/lost, and labor hours.
・Assistant store management team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to
develop processes and schedules that help meet business goals of store.
・Follow instructions from the store management team, assist with the coordination of sales
promotion activities, prepares or directs team members preparing merchandise displays, advertising copy, or other tasks.
・Leads by example, models correct behavior and adherence to company policies and procedures.
・Conducting feedback talk/instruction to team members including positive recognition, constructive feedback correction, and grant Corrective Action Notice if applicable.
・Take care of the teacher role to train and develop team members’ competencies including
merchandise knowledge, food safety requirement, store operations practices, workplace
safety, and other related topics.
・Address operational issues and concerns in a timely fashion to store management team.
・Participate and contribute store meeting and talk.
・Other signed responsibilities.

Salary/Benefit
​​​​​​​Assistant Lead：$22-25/hr （Non-Exempt）​​​​​​​
Department Lead：$26-30/hr ​​​​​​​（Non-Exempt）​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Holidays
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​2 days off per week (including weekends shifts)

Qualifications
​​​​​​​・1.5～2 year retail store team management experience.
・Speak, Read and Write English fluently is must.
・Japanese or Spanish bilingual skill will be plus!
・Must have passion for food and daily life, and ability to create positive customer experience
with your team.
・Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can still maintain a calm demeanor.
・Basic knowledge and operation ability with Microsoft Office applications, good mathematical
literacy.
・Ability to prioritize workload efficiently and able to work on a flexible schedule.
