Position

Japanese bilingual Assistant Staff

Summary

We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English preferred) Assistant Staff to support our Chicago office operations. This role will primarily assist the East Region Manager with administrative and analytical tasks, as well as provide sales support to an East Coast–based Sales Representative. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties

  • Prepare and organize customer information from sales activities

  • Conduct preliminary research for new client visits

  • Post updates and reports into CRM system

  • Prepare meeting reports and maintain client records

  • Create industry-related reference materials (e.g., logistics news, tariffs, world affairs)

  • Prepare sales quotations and coordinate sales support tasks

  • Issue instructions to operations team regarding new shipments

  • Extract data from CRM and prepare sales reports

  • Perform monthly profit-and-loss analysis and compile branch performance summaries

  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and external meetings

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for business trips (flights, hotels, itineraries)

  • Manage sales progress sheets and track sales activity

Working Hours, Working Style

  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours (full-time, on-site)

  • Primarily based in the Chicago office

Working Location

Chicago Office (Addison, IL area)

Salary/Benefit

  • Approx. $50,000 per year (depending on experience)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required)

  • Business-level Japanese language skills strongly preferred

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Prior industry experience not required, but administrative or sales support experience a plus
