Bilingual Project Manager (Linux Infrastructure)

Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Project Manager to lead IT projects within the U.S. branch of a leading Japanese companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux infrastructure and the ability to effectively communicate in both English and Japanese.

This role requires a unique combination of project management expertise and hands-on technical knowledge. While your primary responsibility will be project leadership, your deep understanding of Linux systems and infrastructure will be crucial for guiding technical teams and making informed decisions.

Essential Duties

• ​​​​​​​Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects on Linux platforms, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including technical teams in the U.S. and management in Japan. You will be responsible for providing clear and concise project updates in both English and Japanese.
• Technical Guidance: Leverage your technical expertise to oversee the design, implementation, and support of Linux-based systems. You will provide guidance to engineers and help resolve technical challenges.
• Resource Management: Effectively manage project resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications

• ​​​​​​​Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both business-level English and Japanese.
• Technical Background: A solid background in Linux support or infrastructure. While current experience may be indirect (e.g., through a PM role), a history of hands-on work is essential.
• Project Management Experience: Proven experience as a Project Manager or a similar leadership role in IT.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
