Position
Warehouse Supervisor(Exempt)

Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations by planning and adjusting work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes. This role promotes safe practices, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and collaborates across departments to guarantee timely product shipments. Responsibilities include supervising staff and temporary associates, coordinating with carriers, and evaluating performance to support staffing decisions. 

Essential Duties

• Determines work procedures, prepares and adjusts work schedules, and streamlines workflow.
• Revises schedules based on work order specifications, priorities, and availability of workers and equipment.
• Assigns duties, inspects work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with policies and procedures; distributes necessary paperwork.
• Responds to inquiries regarding pick lists, bills of lading, and bin replenishment.
• Advises employees on handling goods, proper use of equipment, and related issues.
• Promotes safe operations and maintains a clean, orderly work area.
• Reviews production schedules and coordinates with supervisors/managers to ensure timely shipment of products.
• Communicates with other department heads to align warehouse activities and track work progress.
• Contacts carriers to arrange and follow up on pickup schedules.
• Coordinates staffing agency associates by checking them in/out, demonstrating tasks, and monitoring workflow.
• Evaluates individual performance and makes recommendations regarding continued temporary assignments or possible employment.

Office Hours, Working style
Mon-Fri 9:00-6:00 (Lunch Break:1 hour)

50-65K(DOE)

Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
At leaset 3 years related experience as a warehouse supervisor or lead.
Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and Warehouse/Yard Management Systems would be helpful.
