Outside Sales Representative – Modular Aluminum Framing & Factory Automation Solutions

Summary
A global provider of modular aluminum framing systems, factory automation (FA) components, and lean manufacturing solutions such as “karakuri KAIZEN” is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative.

This role requires more than just selling products—it is about understanding customer challenges, reading technical drawings, and offering unique, one-of-a-kind solutions that directly improve factory operations. The position involves frequent nationwide travel, so we are looking for candidates who enjoy being on the road, meeting clients face-to-face, and building long-term partnerships.

Essential Duties

▼ Sales Activity

• Identify and approach prospective B2B customers across manufacturing and industrial sectors.

• Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and technical discussions with engineers and managers.

• Propose tailored modular solutions based on customer drawings and specifications.

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design and deliver client-specific systems.

• Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, quotations, sample coordination, and contract negotiation.

▼ Sales Intelligence & Growth

• Develop the ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into modular solutions.

• Stay updated on lean manufacturing, factory automation, and market innovations.

• Participate in trade shows, client workshops, and regular site visits to deepen industry expertise.

• Understand and apply the “one product, one specification (一品一様)” concept.

▼ Reporting & KPI

• Submit detailed client visit reports and keep CRM data current.

• Join weekly pipeline reviews and contribute to performance tracking.

• KPI target: 12 client meetings per month (goal applied after the first year).

• On-site role with frequent travel nationwide (no remote option)

• Travel required across major industrial regions (TX, TN, IN, MI, and more)

Salary / Benefits

• Annual Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)

• Performance-based bonuses

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently (weekly business trips expected)

• Interest in lean manufacturing, automation, or modular system applications is a plus
