Country Manager – UK & European Operations (US-Based Candidate)

Country Manager, UK & European Operations

【Essential Duties】
Develop and execute sales, marketing, and business development strategies for the UK and European markets.

Manage the full operations of the UK subsidiary, including sales, finance, and logistics.

Expand relationships with existing clients and secure new retail channels, especially with major European supermarket chains.

Lead and develop the UK-based team through effective recruitment, training, and performance management.

Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Collaborate with our headquarters in Japan and other global offices to align business strategy.

Optimize supply chain and logistics operations for efficiency.

Conduct market research and propose new product development opportunities.

Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.

【Qualifications】
Legal authorization to work in the US.

UK work eligibility already obtained or a willingness to obtain it within 5 years (visa support provided).

10+ years of professional experience in the food industry, with a focus on sales, marketing, or business management.

Proven experience in a senior management or executive role with P/L responsibility.

Business-level fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal).

Strong professional network within the food distribution or retail industries.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred: Experience with major UK or European retail chains, knowledge of import/export regulations, and experience managing multi-cultural teams.

【Working Location】
Initially in the US(Northern California), with relocation to the UK.

【Salary & Benefits】
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
Bonus: Performance-based bonus.

Benefits: US-compliant benefits during the US-based period, transitioning to UK-compliant benefits upon relocation (pension, healthcare, paid leave, etc.).
