Job Description

【Summary】

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will lead efforts to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, cost reduction, and efficiency. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from product launch to continuous improvement. Utilizing your advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities, you will work collaboratively with the team to contribute to the delivery of safe and high-quality mobility products.

【Essential Duties】

• Identify problems and plan and implement improvements for existing products and manufacturing processes

• Develop and maintain quality management documents for new and existing programs (PFMEA, control plans, process flows, work instructions, inspection documents)

• Research, develop, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment

• Coordinate manufacturing launch of new or revised products, including goal setting, team training, and result evaluation

• Provide input to product design based on design for manufacture and design for assembly principles

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for product and manufacturing process cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency gains

• Lead or participate in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment

• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of factory floor space, equipment, and tooling

• Perform routine activities accurately and promptly according to instructions and procedures

• Train production and maintenance staff to improve technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills on the shop floor

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Mon - Fri / ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​8:00a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Work is conducted in both office and plant environments (safety gear required in designated areas)

90K-100K

【Qualifications】

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of engineering experience (automotive manufacturing industry experience preferred)

• Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and technical documents

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and 2D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD)

• Knowledge of PLC systems such as Omron and Keyence

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience calculating and analyzing OEE, scrap rates, and manufacturing capacity

• Experience with capital equipment projects and new product launches meeting APQP, ISO 9001, and/or TS 16949 standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
