Position
Technical Engineer – Mechanical

Summary
A well-established machinery and systems manufacturer is seeking a full-time Technical Engineer – Mechanical to support mechanical design, system integration, and on-site technical support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating 2D/3D mechanical drawings, assembling systems using standard equipment, and providing installation, startup, and troubleshooting support. This role also includes collaboration with sales and service teams to deliver customized solutions to customers.

Essential Duties

• Design mechanical systems using standard machines based on customer requirements.

• Create mechanical drawings and system flow diagrams using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Perform equipment sizing and mechanical stress calculations.

• Lead technical projects from planning and coordination to execution and progress monitoring.

• Support on-site installation, startup, and system testing.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend effective solutions.

• Provide technical support to the sales team for equipment model selection and application.

• Communicate customer needs and technical confirmations across departments.

• Supervise contractors during equipment installation and service activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and submit related documentation.

• Assist with business improvement initiatives, including process standardization.

• Provide technical assistance to production and field service teams.

Working Hours, Working Style

• Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM

• 100% Onsite

• Business Travel: 5% – 20%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience

• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Familiarity with industrial tools and measurement devices

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Japanese language proficiency is a plus, but not required
