Position
Mechanical Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Chief Designer in creating custom automated machinery and jigs based on client specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D CAD design, pneumatic systems, and hands-on assembly when required.
※This position will begin with employment at our headquarters in Japan. After 1 to 2 years of training, the candidate will be assigned back to our U.S. office.
Essential Duties
Design automated equipment and jigs using 3D CAD according to customer requirements.
Create 2D manufacturing drawings based on completed 3D designs.
Design pneumatic circuits utilizing air cylinders.
As needed, assist with the assembly and installation of tooling and equipment at customer sites.
Working Hours, Working style
8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of mechanical design (required)
Native-level Japanese and conversational-level or higher English proficiency (required)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using 3D CAD (any software)
Experience in designing automotive parts or related equipment
University degree or technical school diploma
Over 5 years of mechanical design experience using 3D CAD
Experience and knowledge of 6-axis articulated robots such as FANUC or Yaskawa
Knowledge of welding equipment
Experience using SolidWorks or ICAD
