Regional Sales Manager – Auxiliary Equipment for Plastics Manufacturing

Summary
A Japanese-owned manufacturer specializing in auxiliary equipment for plastic injection molding is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead distributor-driven sales activities in the U.S. market. This position is responsible for driving sales of industrial products such as dryers, blenders, loaders, and temperature controllers—critical systems used in injection molding operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience in sales of injection molding machines or related auxiliary equipment, or a strong background in managing distributor sales within the manufacturing sector. This role is best suited for mid-level professionals with hands-on B2B sales experience.

Essential Duties

  • Manage and support relationships with regional distributors and sales partners

  • Develop new business opportunities through referrals, trade shows, and market research

  • Conduct regular customer visits (approximately 50–60% travel) to assess needs, present solutions, and gather technical specifications

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to prepare proposals and verify product configurations

  • Generate and negotiate quotations, oversee delivery schedules, and manage order progress

  • Build long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

  • Maintain accurate sales data and customer interactions using CRM and ERP systems

  • Represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and industry events

  • Assist in collections of past-due accounts as needed

Working Hours, Working Style

  • Employment Type: Full-time, 100% onsite (remote work not available)

  • Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Flexible hours (e.g., 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) may be considered after the initial training period
