Position
Sales Representative (Account Managing / Project Coordinator)

Summary
Equipment Company specializing in providing factory automation solution and die/mold design and manufacturing is seeking a Japanese bilingual sales representative to support their factory automation equipment, die/mold design and manufacturing, and precision machine parts business in North America. The successful candidate will manage existing client accounts, coordinate projects, and serve as a liaison between the Japanese headquarters and local clients, primarily in the automotive manufacturing sector.

Essential Duties

• Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers

• Coordinate projects, including scheduling, documentation, and communication between Japan headquarters and US clients

• Support the introduction and delivery of factory automation equipment and molds

• Handle shipping documentation and ensure timely delivery of products

• Provide interpretation and translation (Japanese/English) for technical and business communications

• Travel frequently for business trips to out of state as well as Canada, and Mexico; typically 1–2 overnight trips per month)

• Attend on-site equipment installations and support as needed

Working Hours, Working style

• Full-time, on-site position

• Standard business hours (details to be discussed)

• Frequent domestic and international business trips required

Working Location

• Lexington KY

• Business trips to other states and countries (Canada, Mexico) as needed

Salary/Benefit

• Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year

• Medical, Dental, Life Insurance (Vision not available)

• Simple IRA with 3% company match

• Relocation support up to $3,000

Holidays

• Paid time off/ Sick Leave:

  • 120 hours in the first year

  • 160 hours from the third year

  • 200 hours from the fifth year

• Other holidays as per company policy

Qualifications

• Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) and English proficiency; capable of interpretation and translation

• Understanding of Japanese business culture and communication

• Experience in sales or account management, preferably in factory automation equipment, machinery, or die/mold industries

• Knowledge of technical terms related to factory equipment and molds

• Strong critical thinking and project management skills

• Willingness to travel frequently for business

• Team player with excellent communication skills
