Trade Compliance Manager – International Logistics & Compliance

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at the U.S. headquarters in Fullerton, CA. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing and managing all export operations, ensuring strict compliance with international trade laws and regulations. The Trade Compliance Manager will coordinate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and government agencies to optimize the export process, improve operational efficiency, and reduce risk. This position reports to the Import Director.

Essential Duties
・Oversee all export operations, ensuring compliance with EAR, OFAC, ITAR, and other trade regulations
・Prepare and manage export documentation and license applications
・Coordinate shipping schedules and transportation logistics
・Maintain and standardize import/export SOPs and electronic records for traceability
・Manage FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) reporting and compliance
・Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations related to import/export controls
・Collaborate with government agencies and act as the company’s primary liaison for trade control matters
・Generate and report staff and customer performance metrics to direct manager
・Ensure technology transfers and exports are legally compliant
・Support additional initiatives as assigned by the department manager

Required Qualifications
・7–10 years of experience in a third-party logistics or export environment
・3–5 years of supervisory or management experience
・In-depth knowledge of EAR, OFAC, ITAR, and international trade regulations
・Understanding of U.S. Customs Bonds, ACE, FTZ, CTPAT, and OGA compliance
・Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
・Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
・Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage projects under pressure
・Customer-focused with excellent follow-up skills
・Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
・Experience managing performance reporting and database systems
・Familiarity with compliance audit processes
・Knowledge of export licensing and technology transfer procedures
