Senior Accounting Staff

Summary
The Senior Accounting Staff is responsible for managing daily accounting operations and supporting the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. This role collaborates with various branches and departments to resolve accounting-related issues and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Essential Duties
Accounting and Financial Management

• ​​​Manage daily accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) operations
• Handle daily bank deposits and perform bank reconciliations
• Monitor bank account transactions and ensure accuracy
• Prepare financial and management reports as scheduled or upon request
• Process multiple wire transfers accurately and in a timely manner
• Record and analyze general ledger entries
• Reconcile inter-company transactions
• Collaborate with other branches and departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Perform quality control checks and ensure data integrity
• Prepare and submit required financial reports, including the Conduct of Japan Report and MIS reports, to headquarters in Japan
• Maintain organized records, including MIS reports, debit memos, commission tracking, and filing documentation

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs in work processes
• Undertake special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management
• Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all workplace activities
• Promptly report any irregularities or issues to supervisors
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and external contacts
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position does not include supervisory duties

M-F: 8:45AM-5:00PM

Working Location
Torrance, CA

Salary/Benefit
$20-22/hr

Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and Japanese is required (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent proficiency
• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and support to team members when needed
