Consumer Products Translator – Licensing Team (Game Company)

Summary
This role supports the licensing team with translation and interpretation between English and Japanese for internal communications, documents, and meetings. It requires strong bilingual fluency, cultural awareness, and attention to detail. The translator will work closely with teams in the U.S., Europe, and Japan, contributing to project progress and stakeholder communication. Some knowledge of consumer products or the gaming industry is preferred.

Essential Duties

  • Translate materials including presentations, design submissions, reports, and emails.

  • Interpret live during virtual and in-person meetings with Japanese stakeholders.

  • Summarize meetings and communicate key points to relevant teams.

  • Provide cultural insight and communication support across departments.

  • Work on product submission documents via licensing software and support Japan-time meetings.

Working Hours, Working Style

  • Full-time, in-office position

  • Requires flexibility for evening meetings (1–2 times per week) to align with Japan Standard Time
