Position
Accounting Assistant Manager

Summary
​​​​​​​An established logistics company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant Manager to support the Accounting Manager and Operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, supporting monthly and annual closings, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with both internal teams and external partners.

Essential Duties

• ​​​​​​​Support the Operations department and Accounting Manager by ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and billing related to logistics operations.
• Oversee all general ledger accounting functions and ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings through effective communication and team coordination.
• Confirm sales revenue and manage the accounting department schedule, including closings, audits, and internal meetings.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies related to financial operations and reporting.
• Support the Accounting Manager on special projects and process improvements.
• Manage and report cash flow, bank transactions, and disbursements to management; handle audit correspondence as needed.
• Coordinate accounts payable and receivable functions, reviewing accounting transactions for accuracy and overseeing subordinate staff performance.
• Delegate and monitor accounts receivable assignments while proactively troubleshooting accounting issues.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and company exchange rates.
• Analyze accounting records and financial trends to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and records for management decision-making.
• Compile and evaluate past and current operational records and cost structures.
• Collect and analyze budget data to support and enhance company performance.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to management based on analytical insights.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff to improve team efficiency and productivity.
• Review work completed by team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Offer consistent feedback and performance guidance to staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and US GAAP
• ​​​​​​​Proficiency in Excel, including experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas is required
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in logistics or related industries a plus
