• Japanese bilingual IT Specialist

Summary

• A leading manufacturer of internal combustion engine parts in Bardstown Kentucky, is seeking a skilled IT Specialist to establish and manage the company's IT operations across its four locations. This role will be crucial in transitioning IT control from the parent company to local management, improving response times, and enhancing overall IT efficiency.

Essential Duties

• Establish and manage IT operations across this company's four locations

• Oversee and maintain the production management system

• Provide timely IT support to all employees, reducing dependency on external vendors

• Coordinate with the parent company in Japan for necessary IT alignments

• Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, hardware, and software issues

• Implement IT best practices and ensure data security across all locations

• Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures

• Train staff on new technologies and systems as needed

Working Hours, Working style

• Full-time, 40 hours per week, with potential for on-call duties

Working Location

• Primary location: Bardstown, Kentucky (preferred)
• Alternative locations: CA, MI

Salary/Benefit

• Salary: $60-70K

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT management and support

• Strong knowledge of production management systems and network infrastructure

• Experience in managing IT operations across multiple locations

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Japanese language skills are necessary for effective communication with the parent company

• Experience in transitioning IT operations from external vendors to in-house management is a plus
