Position
Bilingual (Japanese/English) Field Service Engineer

Summary
 Facilitate communication between Japanese & English-speaking colleagues and customers, as a member of our field service team, and to support the service team with installation, maintenance and other customer support work.

Essential Duties
Facilitate communication between Japanese and English speaking colleagues and customers, assist with installation and assembly of machinery at customer facilities, assist with preventative maintenance of machinery, assist with training and operational support for customer personnel, assist with updating and developing customer training materials

Working Hours, Working Style
8:00-16:30  (Flex 40h/week Mon-Fri)
Precise “office hours” vary by location. When traveling to and working on customer sites, service technicians can expect to work overtime (paid at 150% for time worked over 8 hours per day and all weekend hours worked).  Service Technicians will usually know their travel schedule several weeks or months in advance. Installation projects can be several months long, overhauls are usually a couple of weeks. On lengthy projects, efforts are made to allow employees intermittent time off to spend time with family.

To be determined, likely Manassas VA, possibly Rochester NY or Dayton OH

Qualifications
​​​​​​​-Must be functionally bilingual (Japanese/English)
-Must have strong mechanical aptitude (skill and experience working with machinery preferred),
-Must be available for significant domestic travel,
-Must be able to stand for extended periods and have full range of motion to reach, lift, climb, stoop, kneel and step over equipment  easily,
-Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background checks,
-Must have valid driver’s license and ability to get a passport,
