• Outside Sales Representative

Summary

• A Japanese trading company specializing in automotive interior parts, is seeking a bilingual (Japanese-English) Sales Representative to join their team in Novi, Michigan. This role involves managing relationships with both Japanese and American automotive clients, coordinating with suppliers, and engaging in long-term sales strategies.

Essential Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, primarily Japanese automotive companies (80%) and American companies (20%)
• Coordinate with suppliers to meet client needs and specifications
• Engage in long-term sales strategies
• Communicate regularly with the head office in Japan via email and occasional web meetings
• Travel domestically 25% of the time (2-3 trips per month)
• Assist in expanding the company's client base and product offerings
• Collaborate with the head office on logistics and accounting matters

Working Hours, Working style

• Full-time position with potential for overtime due to communication with Japan
• Flexible working hours to accommodate international communication

Working Location

• Based in Novi, Michigan
• Regular travel required (25% of work time)

Salary/Benefit

• Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 plus commission
• Health, dental, and vision insurance (5% employee contribution for individual, 15% for family coverage)

Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese language skills
• Fluent English language skills
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries

• Willingness to travel regularly
