【Position】 
 Business Development Specialist

【Summary】
To use strong and experiential marketing and new business development skills in order to lead & direct assigned projects. (Factory automation, New technology, Carbon neutral related).

【Essential Duties】

• Take a lead on new business development on factory automation, new technology, and carbon neutral related business activities.
• Plans and conducts assignments generally involving the larger and more important projects.
• Working directly with customers to achieve automation and Kaizen activities including introducing new technologies.
• May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations.
• Lead in generating or adapting equipment technology to serve user needs along-side vendors or partners.
• Lead in troubleshooting determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Lead analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
• Cost analysis and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
• Applies comprehensive knowledge to complete significant assignments.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a four-year degree (Business degree preferred) and more than 1-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and have the ability to perform basic Internet research.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Japanese speaking & writing skills is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to complete difficult assignments.
