Branch Manager (LAX office)

Summary
The Branch Manager plays a critical role in the development and success of the whole organization as well as  each branch. It is the responsibility of the branch manager to strategically lead teams, monitor and build the  financial performance of the team, meet or exceed metrics, and cultivate a network of business partners  within the freight industry both domestically and internationally.

Essential Duties
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: 
　
• Direct or coordinate inbound or outbound operations, such as dispatching freight, making an  arrangement with trucking companies, and overseeing warehouse activities and safety performance.
• Plan and support each team member to perform daily work in both office and warehouse.
• Create and drive a business plan strategy that successfully meets sales goals and expected profit  margins. 
• Manage existing business accounts as well as continuously building customer relationships.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s specialty services, internal resources, competitive  strategies, and customer requirements. 
• Make sound decisions regarding the branch budget, expenses, costs, and overall profitability.
• Oversee the freight from origination to destination and take responsibility for any occurrences while  solving them both constructively and timely manner. 
• Deliver clear expectations regarding the role and direction of team. 
• Promote and ensure a positive work environment that is challenging and engaging. • Proactively address concerns, conflicts, and interactions with team members.

Qualifications
​​​​​​• High School Diploma or GED required. 
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, supply chain management, logistics  transpiration or other related field of study preferred. 
• Three to five years previous business management experience in the freight industry, including areas  of international air, ocean, cargo, import, export, freight forwarding, third party logistics  management, and warehousing. 
• Working knowledge of the third-party logistics model, fleet management, ground transportation,  and freight forwarding. 
• Three or more years of full truckload third party logistics experience in both sales and operations preferred. 
• Three or more years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
