Outbound Sales - Supervisor
Summary
​​​​​​​Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or marketsegment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Personally, contacts and securesnew business accounts/customers. And this position is responsible for assisting retail customers with generalreservations services both in person and/or over the phone. The main products to be sold include but are not limited to domestic/international airline reservations, various tours, and hotel reservations.  
Essential Duties
​​​​​​​Sales Activities
• Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
• Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
•Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization.
• Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
• Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Participates in events, conventions etc.
Supervisor Duties
• Ensures that staff members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards of relationship building, customer service, negotiation techniques, and processing contracts.
• Oversees all the activities of employees on a day-to-day basis by monitoring and reviewing their work activities and workflows; by setting performance goals; by correcting employee performances and giving them appropriate feedbacks.
• Motivates staff members both individually and as a group, understands and supports diversities of the job duties, and establishes an effective way to work as a team.


• Supports staff members by addressing and resolving a wide variety of concerns and complains which are related to job duties, performance standards, working environments, relations with coworkers, supervisors, and managers. Air Ticket Reservations
● Communicate with the current and potential customers, for both individual and group travels, in a timely and professional manner.
● Searches available flight information and ticket prices using Apollo system based on requested destination and travel dates.
● Seeks to determine the seat availabilities for the requested flight number by using Apollo system.
● Understands the characteristics of all airlines to be able to suggest the most efficient flights for customers.
Understands the special and discounted products to provide accurate information to the customers.
● Contacts customers to advise of changes in flight plan or to cancel or confirm reservation.
● Be able to supplement the tickets with ground transportation and insurance information by sending necessary travel documentation to the customers.
● Performs ticketing procedures when necessary.
Hotel Information and Reservations
● Check the vacancy and reservation and hotels for customers who have reserved packaged tours or air reservation only.
● Make deposits for the above function.
Land Package Tours Information, Reservations and Promotion
● Plans trips, offers travel suggestions, and prepares itinerary per customers’ request and searches desired land package; if the land package cannot be provided, contact the appropriate departments to arrange alternatives.
● Promotes and advertises the products by using H.I.S. travel catalog and related advertisements.
Ensure High Quality Customer Service
● Provides feedback for other staff members on customer services procedures.
● Upholds company image and maintain the highest level of service.

Qualifications
​​​​​​​● Language Skills
Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and/or government regulations in English and Japanese Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English and Japanese
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, clients, customers, and the public in English and Japanese
● Mathematical Skills
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumstance, and volume
● Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to analyze information and solve problems on a complex level in various situations
● Other Required Skills
Must be tactful, mature, and flexible

Must have the ability to review, assess and understand technical documents, drawings and other documents with no advance exposure and then engage in discussions internally and with customers
Must have the ability to analyze and utilize legal/financial documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.)
Must be able to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
