Interpreter/Translator

Summary
The job requires interpreting for Japanese personnel and local employees, translating technical documents, handling MS Office tasks independently, and being adaptable to changing priorities. There's potential for the role to expand based on departmental needs and the candidate's abilities.

Essential Duties
- Provide interpretation services for Japanese personnel and local employees in various settings.
- Translate technical documents, including emails, job instructions, SOPs, and policies.
- Independently handle MS Office suite files (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications
​​​​​​​- Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in interpretation and translation, preferably in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability to work within normal office hours (7am to 4pm), with occasional flexibility for work outside this timeframe based on prior notice.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing settings preferred but not required; willingness to quickly learn terminology and manufacturing processes is essential.
