IT Help Desk Specialist

Essential Duties (Unofficial)

• Provide first-level technical support to internal staff via phone, email, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
• Assist with user account management, including account creation, deletion, and access permissions.
• Document and maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical training and support to staff on IT-related topics and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English 
• Conversational Japanese is preferred
• ​​​​​​5 years of experience in providing technical support in a corporate IT environment.
• Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
