Job Description

General Position Summary:

Responsible for increasing sales of machinery, equipment, materials, and parts requiring technical knowledge. Manages sales accounts, establishes strategies, and trains team staff and sales representatives/distributors.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary Job Functions (Weight: 70%)

1. Product Management:

   • Manage existing and new customer relations.
   • Update marketing and technical knowledge.
   • Conduct market research and establish sales strategy.
   • Create marketing materials, digital promotions, and advertisements.
   • Coordinate and attend trade shows and conferences.
   • Provide technical support collaboratively with the engineering team.
   • Solicit orders, negotiate commercial conditions, and handle relevant documents.
   • Maintain frequent contact with customers and suppliers.
   • Manage high return on investment and maximize profit.
   • Process purchase orders and manage inventory.
   • Prepare and distribute Minutes of Meetings in a timely manner.

2. Sales Strategies and Goal Achievement:

   • Collaboratively make and implement sales and marketing plans.
   • Study and analyze products, competitors, market situations, and industry trends.
   • Create short to long-term sales forecasts.
   • Collect and analyze feedback for corrective action.
   • Monitor sales unit performance and take corrective action.
   • Keep upper management informed of progress.

3. Support Sales Team Operation:

   • Train sales staff and Sales Reps.
   • Provide performance evaluations.
   • Communicate frequently with sales staff and provide feedback.
   • Initiate meetings and propose ideas for sales improvement.

4. Sales Promotion of Entire Product Lines:

   • Conduct sales promotion for the entire product range.
   • Introduce new sales opportunities for new products or projects.
   • Exchange customer/marketing information with relevant teams.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

Working Environment:

• Moderate noise level in a business office.
• Frequent business travel, domestically and internationally, with short notice.
• May be required to work beyond normal business hours.

Minimum Skills/Qualifications Needed:

1. Language Skills:

   • Read, analyze, and interpret general business documents in English. Japanese/Spanish language ability is preferred.
   • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Japanese/Spanish language ability is preferred.
   • Effectively respond to questions in English. Japanese/Spanish language ability is preferred.
   • Communicate verbally and in writing in English. Japanese/Spanish language ability is preferred.

2. Mathematical Skills:

   • Calculate figures and amounts.

   • Draw and interpret bar graphs.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of sales experience dealing with machinery and equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
