【Position】
Senior Export Manager

【Summary】
The Sr. Export Manager directs and manage the activities of the export air and ocean operation meets service qualities, commitments, revenues, procurement, customer service and profit goals of the Export Departments in the Branch. The Sr. Export Manager oversees the implementation of the export processes and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, including those administered by TSA, FAA and corresponding agencies and regulations outside of the United States.

【Essential Duties】

• Collaborate with air/ocean export managers to establish, oversee and continuously improve the branch export process flows in compliance with legal law, applicable rules, regulations, procedures and company policy.
• Develop and improve Branch procedures, service quality, ensuring efficiency of daily operations.
• Ensure operation managers to co-work with the sales department to develop customer specific export handling procedures for all customers, especially with the on boarding of new customers.
• Take initiative to review local procurements and searching the opportunity of cost reduction from carriers, truckers or material suppliers.
• Liaise with other branches & business unit GHQ/RHQ and actively lead operation managers to pursue profit/cost controlling, space efficiency, and assisting quotations.
• With the direct input of the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager, review and enhance operation efficiency & account profitability with department managers or sales persons.
• Supervise the related shipment based accounting functions, vendor payables, revenue generation, case reports, and shipment activity reports.
• Supervise operation departments to review operational accounting activities, vendor payables, account receivable, revenue generation, case reports, and shipment activity reports.
• Making strong relationship with all related parties to let operation departments operate smoothly and avoid unexpected incidents.
• To be escalation point from operation managers who are facing emergency and critical situations for their handling accounts.
• To collaborate with Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager and RHQ/GHQ, Monitor, analyze and report on business trends - make recommendations and strategy to obtain optimal pricing from carriers and improving operational efficiency in the export department.
• Supervise operation managers & department staffs to maintain update information on regulations, licenses, restrictions and changes in export requirements.
• Monitor cargo claims or insurance claims process generated by department managers by timely reporting and timely correspondence to the claimant.
• Responsible for supervising export department managers or supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

【Qualifications】

• Bachelor’s degree plus five to seven years of related experience in international freight forwarding/NVOCC /Logistics. Included in this experience is 4+ years of management experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills or sales skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding business.
• Must have organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Must have strong intention to involve problem solving.
• Must have the ability to compose letters, memos, emails and other written documentation clearly and concisely.
• Be able to present one’s self in a highly cooperative and professional manner when meeting both internal and external customers and vendors face to face.
