Job Description

1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the Company’s sole discretion from time to time.

• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Incorporates OUR values (customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and discipline and vitality) into your work and in your team’s work.
• Programming for CNC Machines.
• Edit NC Program for CNC Machines on the machine controller.
• CNC and Manual Machine Operation.
• Operate CNC and manual machines for OUR molds parts and machine parts.
• Mold Assembly.
• Assemble OUR molds for onsite trials and customer requests.
• Mold Polishing.
• Polish OUR mold parts to OUR polishing standards.
• Mold Modification.
• Mold modification on CNC and manual machines.
• Timely response to top executives and any stakeholders' requests and inquiries.
• Raw material handling.
• Generate documents using Microsoft software and Adobe software.
• Follow/execute production department road map.
• Execute maintenance of CNC machines and equipment.
• Housekeeping to maintain the work area hazard-free, clean, neat, and orderly.

COMPETENCIES:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Understanding machining, blueprints, materials, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Plans accordingly with supervisor to assure that the mold assembly is completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain stock inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available.
• Operate CNC machines, Manual machines per supervisor discretion. Setting zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following the manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Maintain the machines and equipment for a safe environment. Clean and organize machine shop for housekeeping.

3. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related mechanical experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with OUR mold manufacturing.
