Title: japanese Interpreter

Description:

SAFETY:

• Adherence to all safety procedures is paramount.
• Stay updated on safety trainings and protocols.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel toe boots, safety glasses, and earplugs.
• Complete General Plant Safety Training within the initial 8 weeks.

SKILLS:

• Facilitate effective communication between English and Japanese speakers, orally and in writing.
• Accurate conversion, editing, and proofreading of written materials between languages.
• Attend meetings and conferences to provide real-time translation, note-taking, and generate meeting minutes.
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their requirements.
• Provide additional support to the project team as needed.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both English and Japanese.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous interpreter experience, particularly in spoken word scenarios.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Previous work experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, twist, bend, reach, and stoop for extended periods.
• Comfort working in dusty and noisy environments.
• Adaptability to extreme seasonal temperatures.
• Capability to lift and/or move items weighing over 25 pounds.
