Job Description

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to support the financial requirements for the x-EV Drive Unit operations. This position is responsible for working with the Accounting Manager to set up all financial systems for the new xEV Drive Unit facility, including the installation, set-up and utilization of the new corporate ERP system.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• 4-year College Degree in Accounting and/or Business or an equivalent amount of related education and experience
• Minimum of 2 years related work experience
• Knowledge of all Accounting Principles
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties

 

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience and Skills)

• 5 years related work experience, prior cost accounting experience is a plus
• Good computer acumen: Knowledge of SAP and InFor reporting systems and/or a proven ability to create reports.

 

 

Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

• Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting
• Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

 

Software:

• Advanced experience with Excel preferred
• Intermediate experience with SAP preferred

 

Production and Location Start-up Duties:

• Work within small team to develop new manufacturing location and new processes to support smooth mass production start-up of EV products
• Implement accounting systems for new facility, including set up accounting portion of ERP system

 

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
• Maintains clean and orderly work environment in accordance with 6S
• Interacts with various levels of associates
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed
• Ability to promote and carry out the “Astemo Philosophy”
• Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
• Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies
• Ensures all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
• Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Will not supervise associates
