Position

Sales Coordinator/Order Entry

Summary

Performs all day-to-day activities of inside sales including order entry and order confirmation, price verification, EDI order system management and support of the sales managers, Sales VPs and accounting team.

Essential Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Receives and enters orders via phone, fax, email, and EDI.  Confirms pricing and allowances are correct on all orders before confirming receipt of all orders. Notifies the customer when there are order discrepancies.  Confirms supply and time availability of all orders with the Transportation Dept. and notifies customer if there are supply issues.  Works with Accounts Receivable to ensure all orders are invoiced correctly.  Ships product samples and sales materials to customers, outside sales reps, and brokers as directed by sales managers.  Exhibit a positive attitude towards work ad fellow employees, helping to fulfill our company mission of being a great place to work.  Perform general customer service and font desk functions including handling customer inquiries and guiding visitors when necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Certification (Preferred):  A high school diploma or GED equivalent is the minimum requirement. Required Knowledge and Skills:  Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and portals.  Excellent communication and writing skills.  Ability to prioritize, manage time well and meet deadlines.  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.  Ability to answer non-technical product questions related to product differentiation, pricing and specifications and communicate these in a professional way to customers and consumers.  Strong familiarity and competency with various EDI systems.  Strong Windows-based computer skills and experience with Quickbooks software.  Experience with effective paper and electronic filing systems and data storage and retrieval.  Ability to multi-task during busier times to prioritize and execute to completion all issues in a timely matter.  Ability to find creative ways to improve company operations at a minimal cost.  Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint. MS Dynamics 365 experience preferred.  Experience Required:  Entry-level candidates acceptable with above requirements met.  Sales or administrative office experience preferred.  Experience or knowledge of Grocery, Specialty, Natural or Asian Ethnic Food is highly preferred.
