Job Description

SUMMARY -Responsible for preparation of files, distributions of documents and collection of funds associated with the breakdown (breakbulk) of import consolidations. -Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): -Assisting warehouse with distribution business, driving forklift and preparing skids with shrink-wraps -Research and identify the custom brokerage of inbound shipments -Notifies brokers and consignees of arrival of shipments, distributes documents to brokers and/or consignees. Collects receivables where applicable -Prepares documents required to move inbound shipments between U.S. ports -Monitors consolidation transfer times to ensure service levels are maintained Reviewing freight rates with carriers and determining the most efficient and cost-effective method of moving freight -Quoting Freight Rates ? FCL/LCL -Arranging bookings; coordinating freight movement with customers, carriers, agents, and third parties; from port to destination; including pick up, storage, and delivery. -Preparing and processing documentation according to established procedures and regulations -Master and House B/L preparation -Breakbulk Document Transfer to Broker -Tracking, Trancing and POD Confirmation -Producing Customer Invoice -Process project shipments via trucking, airlines and steamships by coordinating the movement of international shipments and preparing documentation of freight. -Work with project customer, trucker and warehouse -Track, trace and update customer related issues to external and internal clients. -Have a customer service oriented skill set and professional attitude. -Be responsible for executing all functions relating to the special project process.
