Job Description

Manage warehouse staff and drivers, preparing work schedules as well as delivery schedules and assigning specific duties. Match physical inventory with computer inventory Watch loading to avoid any miss-shipment or shortage Review warehouse expenses to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Determine staffing requirements such as temporary workforces, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes with branch manager Handle personnel issues. Coordinate management of general administrative activities with Office Supervisor. Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipments Coordinate and contact vendors for maintenance & servicing of warehouse equipments, vehicle and facilities Determine if warehouse supply inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary. Sign any work order and review bill for payment Have warehouse staff and drivers comply with HACCP requirements Have warehouse staff comply with OSHA requirements Have drivers to comply with DOT regulations Respond to customer and sales department inquiries about delivery status, changes, or cancellations. Take care of will call (or pick up) customer Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.Interface with trucking companies and arrange trucking requests. Time to time perform duties, including general warehouse duties or drive truck as the situation warrants
