Key Responsibilities:
•Maintains the company’s system of accounts, books, and records of all transactions, including coordinating and administering accounting operations such as general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
•Oversees all functions of the Accounting Department, by enforcing company policy, evaluating budgetary achievements, supervising staff, and reporting to the President & CEO regularly.
•Other responsibilities include day-to-day accounting functions, including tax compliance (direct/indirect), cash management, and finance reporting.
•Prepares required tax-related forms and reports including but not limited to sales and use tax, commercial rent tax, etc.
•Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Coordinates year-end audit review for internal and external auditors. Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion and provide support and assistance for any audit requests.
•Manage periodical reporting to HQ upon closing
•Prepares required tax-related forms and reports including but not limited to sales.
•Posts journal entries, A/P, A/R, WIP, merchandise, and adjustments.
•Performs cash management functions.
•Supports budget and forecasting activities.
•Supervises staff and contributes to employment decisions.
•Maintain and streamline business process by reviewing the current processes and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of controls. Identify the area of improvements. Plan and take actions for improvement .
•Participate in team, company, or other meetings and occasional training and webinars, as needed or requested.
