Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-RESPONSIBLE FOR FOOD SAFETY.
-Oversee and coach a team of full-time and temporary employees.
-Train new employees in production operations.
-Ensure compliance to health, safety and quality requirements as set by the company,
governmental agencies or industry standards.
-Schedule workforce to ensure staffing meets production demands.
-Ensure proper use of equipment and ensure maintenance standards are met.
-Ensure production output meets company expectations.
-Order and maintain supply inventories.
-Operate forklift and various other material handling equipment.
-Performs various manual labor tasks with ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
-Operate machinery or assist the operation of machinery used in the production process.
-Troubleshoot machinery to production process.
-Observe equipment operations for proper functioning.
-Examine process and product to verify conformance to quality standards.
-Always follow company and regulatory food safety initiatives.
-Learn and apply aspects of FDA, HACCP, SQF and other food safety guidelines.
-Lift raw materials and finished goods by hand and by use of hoists.
-Perform quality checks visually and using meters and chemical tests.
-Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours shift.
-Record various information such as product testing results, meter readings and production
statistics.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

-High School Degree or equivalent
-3-5 years of Supervisory experience
-HACCP Certification
-Training and/or certification in GMP, SQF, ISO, and Sanitation in food manufacturing is
highly recommended.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
-Food Safety, Quality and Sanitation best practices for food manufacturing.
-Ensure SDS for cleaning chemicals are documented and filed appropriately. Ability to work
safely with various chemicals without risk of product contamination.
-Ability to read, write and understand Sanitation, QA and FS policies and procedures in
English.
-Positive attitude towards Sanitation, QA and FS and other employees in all departments to
achieve company objectives.
-Able to identify areas to be cleaned without supervision or direction. Follows company
procedure but is flexible and improvises to clean as needed or in emergency situations.
-Manages time to efficiently get the most work done during an 8-hour shift.
-Administer training and documents as needed.
-Maintenance capabilities including light electrical and plumbing. Machine operation.
-Previous work experience in a brewery or beverage production operation.
Experience Required:
-3 years of Supervisory Experience preferably in food manufacturing -QA and Food
Safety/Sanitation
