Senior Transfer Pricing Associate (Japanese Bilingual)

Summary
A leading global professional services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Transfer Pricing Associate to join their Los Angeles team. This role is critical in assisting multinational clients with cross-border transaction compliance, planning, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess native or near-native fluency in both English and Japanese and have a strong foundation in economic or financial analysis. Essential Duties

• Conduct economic and financial analyses to evaluate the arm’s length nature of intercompany transactions.
• Prepare high-quality transfer pricing documentation reports and benchmarking analyses in both English and Japanese.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models and perform quantitative analyses using specialized databases.
• Review and analyze client financial statements and accounting data.
• Communicate directly with clients and global teams to gather information and provide status updates on projects.
• Liaise between the U.S. and Japan offices to ensure seamless service delivery for bilingual accounts.\
• Support senior management in tax audit defense and Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) negotiations.

Working Hours, Working Style
Hours: Full-time, standard business hours.
Style: Hybrid (Remote-friendly, with the requirement to commute to the Los Angeles office for meetings, training, and as business needs dictate).

Salary/Benefit
$80K - 90K DOE

Qualifications

• Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including editing) in both English and Japanese are mandatory.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in Transfer Pricing is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience in finance, accounting, or economic consulting will be considered.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically Excel for data analysis, Word for report writing, and Outlook).
• Attributes: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines. Prior professional work experience is preferred.
