Position
Payroll Specialist

Summary
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of payroll for employees across NorthAmerica (US/CA). This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll regulations while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and service. You will manage the full payroll lifecycle, including monthly payroll processing, GL updates, reconciliations, reporting, and ongoing maintenance of payroll data. Working closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors, you will help ensure payroll operations run smoothly and align with company policies and internal controls.


Essential Duties
​​​​​​​Role and Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees across the US and Canada. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time in accordance with established schedules. Review and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local payroll laws and regulations. Manage payroll tax filings, remittances, and year-end processes, including W-2s, T4s, and other statutory reporting. Stay current on changes to payroll legislation and ensure updates are reflected in payroll processes.

General Ledger and Reconciliations:
Prepare and complete monthly payroll-related general ledger entries. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Partner with Finance to support month-end and year-end close activities.

Payroll Systems and Data Management:
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Support system updates, testing, and payroll audits as required. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders with professionalism and clarity.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with HR to ensure accurate employee data and alignment on payroll changes. Liaise with external payroll providers and benefit vendors as needed. Provide regular updates and reporting to Finance and leadership as required.

Salary/Benefit
65K～115K

Qualifications
​​​​​​​• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with hands-on responsibility for US and Canada payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards in both countries
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
