Position
​​​​​Bilingual- Project Management Officer (PMO) & Bridge Software Engineer

Summary
This role combines Project Management Office (PMO) functions with Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) responsibilities within a leading Japanese IT company. The candidate will support the development of Connected Car systems, including telematics, infotainment, and cloud-integrated services. The role involves managing project health while acting as a technical and linguistic link between the domestic team and global/offshore development partners to deliver advanced connectivity solutions.

Essential Duties

• Project Governance: Assist in developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for Connected Car software cycles; monitor progress and identify potential risks to delivery timelines.
• Bridge Communication: Facilitate technical communication between Japanese and overseas teams, ensuring cloud specifications, API requirements, and connectivity protocols are accurately translated and understood.
• Risk & Issue Management: Maintain project logs (RAID) and coordinate with global stakeholders to resolve technical bottlenecks related to system integration and data communication.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare bilingual status reports and dashboards for executive leadership and ensure all technical documentation is accurately localized.

Working Hours, Working style

• Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Standard).
• Style: On-site. This position requires daily attendance at the designated office/development center to ensure close collaboration with engineering teams and secure handling of project hardware.

Qualifications
​​​​​​​

[Must-Have]

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in product development and/or a PMO, Project Coordinator, or Bridge SE role within the IT or Manufacturing sectors.
• Strong technical background with the ability to translate complex software requirements (e.g., cloud, mobile, or embedded) for diverse teams.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
