Sales Representative

 

Summary

This position is responsible for B2B sales and account management for electronic and mechatronics-related components, equipment, and FA systems at the U.S. subsidiary of a global trading company. The role involves working closely with primarily Japanese customers in the U.S., coordinating with overseas suppliers, and providing tailored solutions that support factory automation, robotics, and manufacturing efficiency.

 

Essential Duties

• Manage and develop relationships with U.S.-based customers
• Conduct B2B sales activities including client visits, needs assessment, and solution proposals
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding pricing, specifications, delivery schedules, and order status
• Handle order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales support
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide technical support and customized solutions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and accounts, depending on experience
• Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and market research activities

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or trading company sales (industry experience preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Customer-oriented mindset with a strong focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships
• Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Strong interest in bridging business between Japan and the United States
