Position
Customs Senior Entry Writer

Summary
A leading global supply chain and logistics company, is seeking a Senior Entry Writer to join our Import Customs Brokerage (CHB) team.
The Senior Entry Writer will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of CBP entries for key accounts, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
This role requires a high level of expertise in import compliance, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle complex and non-routine transactions while supporting audit and process improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties
Receive, review, and process import documentation for CBP clearance.
Handle key accounts requiring in-depth knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs).
Follow customer-specific SOPs for entry preparation and data management.
Assist with new customer onboarding and process setup.
Provide guidance to Entry Writers and collaborate with other Yusen offices to ensure compliance and service quality.
Support import audit functions and compliance reporting.
Communicate with customers regarding CBP, PGA, delivery, and exception issues.
Classify products under HTSUSA and prepare necessary PGA filings (e.g., FDA).
Resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies with carriers and customers.
Handle billing and accounting processes related to customs brokerage.
Identify and report potential non-compliance with CFR 19 requirements.


Working Hours / Working Style
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Primarily on-site; hybrid flexibility may be considered.

Salary / Benefit
$70,000 – $90,000 per year (based on experience)

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Entry Writer
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
Strong organizational ability and self-motivation
Proven ability to interpret and apply compliance standards
