Position
Japanese Bilingual Branch Manager

Summary
We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Branch Manager (native-level Japanese required) to lead our Houston Satellite branch. The majority of our customers are Japanese expatriates relocating internationally, so this role requires strong communication skills in Japanese and the ability to provide end-to-end moving support. The Branch Manager will act as a playing manager, balancing branch administration with hands-on moving work.

Essential Duties

• Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and efficient workflows.
• Supervise and support branch staff (approx. 5 members).
• Support sales, local marketing, and customer relationship management.
• Prepare regular reports on branch activities, expenses, and performance.
• Serve as the escalation point for customer issues.
• Actively support expatriate moving services, including documentation and customs guidance for Japanese clients.
• Drive company vehicles and participate in moving work: packing, unpacking, loading/unloading, palletizing, vanning/devanning, and warehousing.
• Conduct job estimates and confirm customer requirements, ensuring services meet expectations.
• Coordinate with English-speaking colleagues to ensure smooth on-site execution.
• Schedule, dispatch, and supervise moving crews, ensuring timely and safe job completion.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide professional solutions.
• Train and monitor movers to maintain high-quality service standards.

Working Hours, Working Style
Full-time, shift-based. Requires flexibility to manage both administrative and physical moving duties.

• Salary: Around $70K annually
• Car allowance: $600/month

Qualifications

• Proven international mover experience (packing, loading/unloading, warehousing, and customer service).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Japanese: Native level (required for expatriate customer service).
• English: Business level.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service orientation.
• Ability to balance branch management responsibilities with physical moving duties.
