Position
R&D Specialist

Summary
This position is responsible for developing new products and improving existing products through research, formulation, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The R&D Specialist will contribute to technical innovation, regulatory compliance, and product performance aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Essential Duties
Product Development
・Research, plan, and execute formulation and process development.
・Conduct product and shelf-life testing in collaboration with QA.
・Develop prototypes based on market trends and customer feedback.
・Support product cost optimization while maintaining quality.
・Search new and/or alternative ingredients
・Prepare and customize samples for our customers
Cross-functional Collboration
・Communicate with Sales, QA, and Production to ensure feasibility and quality of new products.
・Provide technical support to customer inquiries, including ingredient details, functionality, and preparation.
・Attend customer trials and technical presentations.  
Documentation & Compliance
・Seeking constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
・Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and labeling regulations.
・Prepare technical documents and specifications.  
Continuous Improvement
・Proactively explore innovative raw materials and technologies.
・Identify and implement improvements in product consistency, shelf-life, and cost efficiency  
Quality Assurance & Control
・Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
・Investigate product complaints, non-conformities, and deviations.
・Maintain records for traceability, test results, and corrective actions.
・Prepare specifications for customer
・Ensure all processes meet FDA, USDA, and other regulatory standards.

Qualifications
・Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biology, agriculture or related field.
・ Related experience of 2+ years of experience in food R&D is preferred.
​​​​​​・Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSMA).
・Strong written and verbal communication skills.
