Position
IMPORT EXPORT COORDINATOR/ ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Summary
​​​​​​​We are looking for a skilled Import-Export Coordinator/Accounting Assistant to join our accounting department. This role is exposed to many different areas of accounting such as A/P, A/R, and is responsible for coordinating the import and export of products into/from the USA and Japan. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of standard accounting principles, be experienced in product export regulations and procedures, be self-motivated and a fast learner.

Essential Duties
​​​​​​​Export Business Coordination

• Communicates and receives purchase orders from foreign customers and follows up.
• Issues POs to US vendors and confirm delivery schedules.
• Coordinates delivery schedule with US vendors for foreign customers
• Arrange shipments to foreign customers and prepare custom documents for exportation.
• Issues AR invoices and files export documents.
• Process AP vendor invoices correctly and notify Accounts Payable.
• Obtains RMA# and resolves issues of the products with foreign customers and US vendors.
• Constantly updates Open PO List and sends it to foreign customers. weekly or bi-weekly.

Inventory Purchasing Coordination (International /Domestic suppliers)

• Manage and order products or spare parts under Controller's approval.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs clearance to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Process and manage all necessary import documentation while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Process RMA paperwork
• Communicates and manages relationships with vendors
• Resolves any issues that arise during the import/export process, such as customs delays or shipment errors.

Accounting Support

• Enters specified data to AR Bill and updates and prepares spreadsheet for monthly distribution to management.
• Performs bank reconciliation semi-monthly.
• Bank-related operations: statement filing control of daily transaction
• Checks invoice drafts with related documents and tax sheet, then posts and prints.
• Prepares invoices for services rendered.
• Travel expense control

Salary/Benefit
$25～$30/h

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of general accounting experience and working knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Associate in accounting or related field preferred
• Experience with SAP is a plus
