Position
Japanese bilingual Movers & Packers Assistant (Relocation Support & Client Services)

Summary
This role involves assisting with international and domestic relocations, primarily for Japanese clients. While there is some physical work involved, the position is not labor-intensive. It focuses on client-facing responsibilities, including proposing and coordinating moves. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Japanese and English, and capable of providing courteous and efficient support throughout the relocation process.

Essential Duties

• Visit clients (primarily Japanese) at their residences or offices to assess relocation needs
• Discuss transportation methods and relocation requirements with clients
• Support packing and handling of household goods such as furniture, books, kitchenware, clothing, and miscellaneous items (not labor-intensive)
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivery of goods
• Provide post-move follow-up and support
• Work primarily in teams of three to complete on-site operations

Working Hours / Work Style

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime may be required depending on workload
• Occasional overnight business trips required, particularly to Kansas and Minneapolis

Work Location

• Headquartered in Wood Dale, IL
• Service area covers the Midwest, primarily the Greater Chicago Area

Salary / Benefits

• Base salary: $45,000
• Estimated annual compensation: $45,000 – $52,000 (including travel allowance and bonus)
• 　- Bonus: Approximately half a month’s salary
• Health Insurance: Employee contribution approximately $20/month
• 401(k): 4% company match
• Travel and accommodation expenses fully reimbursed

Holidays

• Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays
• Weekend work may be required depending on client schedules

Qualifications

• Business-level Japanese language skills required (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with Japanese clients
• No prior relocation experience required
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Team Structure

• 4 field staff, 2 office staff, and 3 subcontractors
• Work is generally conducted in three-person teams
