【Position】
Part-time Accounting Assistant

【Summary】
A Japanese architectural design firm is looking for a  Accounting Assistant with experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliation.

【Essential Duties】

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely payment.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of payment runs and maintain AP aging reports.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Generate and send customer invoices.
• Track incoming payments, follow up on outstanding receivables, and maintain AR aging reports.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment issues as needed.

Bank Reconciliation & General Accounting:

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and audits as required.

QuickBooks Management:

• Maintain and update financial data within QuickBooks.
• Generate reports and provide insights based on QuickBooks data.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of data entry across all modules.

【Qualifications】
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) – required.
Solid understanding of AP/AR processes and bank reconciliation.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
