【Position】
Senior Accountant

【Summary】
Senior Accountant is responsible for completing and reporting periodical financial reports and statements
accurately. Additionally responsible for a variety of tasks to support the accounting and financial business
operations, functions, and programs. This role is a member of the Corporate Accounting team, reporting
to the Accounting Manager and/or VP, Corporate Accounting. Must demonstrate high levels of
competency and effectively exhibit accounting and financial professional skills as the Senior Accountant
including interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

【Essential Duties】
■80% Under general direction from Company’s accounting manager and accounting management, performs periodical accounting - financial tasks:
•    Review periodical financial statements of subsidiaries (including each project business entities) according to US GAAP.  
•    Prepare periodical financial reporting packages accurately for subsidiaries’ financial and submit to applicable steak holders including our parent company in Japan for their review and decision making.  
•    Liaise and communicate with internal-external professionals such as an accountant at partners, parent company in Japan, bookkeeping and tax agencies to receive & provide accurate information. 
•    Prepare, record, inquire, examine, update, and process invoices, accounting – financial materials accurately and timely.  
•    Handles accounting - financial programs to other companies (mainly in Japan) and related inquiries, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

■10% Works under general direction, assist Company’s management to prepare project finance and assist real estate project members for their accounting & finance matters by providing accurate information & advice. Maintain, record and process accounting & tax files for assigned real estate development projects accurately and timely.

■10%  Other tasks assigned from Company’s management as a part of Company’s Accounting functions.

【Qualifications】
■Required Skills/Abilities:

•    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
•    Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. 
•    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
•    Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to team members and clients. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software. 
•    Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn accounting process management related systems. English/Japanese bilingual (Write, Read and Speak) 
•    US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred 
•    Experience in the real estate industry preferred   
■Education and Experience: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, a related field or an equivalent required. 
•    At least 5 years of accounting – financial professional experience. 
•    Thorough knowledge of US accounting – financial related laws and regulations 
•    Physical Requirements: 
•    Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
