Operation (Procurement) Manager

Summary

The Operations department oversees the purchasing role in the company, such as sellable goods, components, and office supplies. Operations tracks purchases from planning to purchase to delivery. This includes procurement, storage, distribution, and tracking of inventory items to ensure adequate stock levels, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to company standards. The Operation Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the procurement function within the organization and is responsible for overseeing the efficient management and control of all inventory-related activities within the organization. This role involves managing a team of procurement professionals, developing procurement strategies, and optimizing the procurement process to achieve cost savings and ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services.

Essential Duties

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Procurement Planning: o Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. o Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements within the procurement function. 2. Inventory Management o Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. o Identify and address discrepancies or variances in inventory levels. o Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures. o Minimize overstocking and stockouts through effective inventory management. o Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage, spoilage, or obsolescence. 3. Supplier Relationship Management: o Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. o Negotiate and manage complex contracts to ensure favorable terms for the organization. o Address supplier concerns and resolve disputes effectively. 4. Procurement Process Optimization: o Streamline the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. o Implement best practices and industry standards in procurement operations. o Monitor and improve procurement workflows and procedures. 5. Distribution and Fulfillment: o Coordinate with distribution teams to fulfill orders promptly. o Monitor order processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness. o Resolve issues related to order fulfillment and shipping. 6. Cost Control and Budget Management: o Develop and manage the procurement budget. o Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance to optimize costs. o Implement cost control measures and track cost savings. 7. Reporting and Analysis: o Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance and key performance indicators. o Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction. 8. Sales Order Processing: o Sales order management and fulfillment management. 9. Compliance and Risk Management: o Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. o Mitigate procurement-related risks and maintain documentation for audits. o Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations. 10. Team Leadership: o Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals. o Set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations. o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Salary, Benefit

65K~90K or 経験により判断 保険： 健康　歯　目　 本人分100%企業負担 (ベーシックプランの場合) それ以外のプランは多少負担あり。　 家族分企業負担あり。 PTO  初年度　11日　 病欠　24時間

Qualifications

​​​​​​​• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). • Several years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record in leadership roles. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships. • Knowledge of procurement software and tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Analytical mindset with attention to detail. • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. • Proficiency with Google workspace and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong attention to deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: • Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS). • Understanding of customs, VAT and Incoterms for export/import activities. • Strong knowledge and working experience with ERP. • Experience of BI tool is plus. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. • Strong math and research skills. • Basic knowledge of the differences between Nintendo Switch / Sony PS4 & PS5 / Microsoft Xbox game consoles. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Background working in Japanese manufacturing Company is plus.
